SPECTEC SDIO Wireless LAN Networking Card WLAN 802.11b, Internet Connection for PDAs, Notebooks and PCs Review
I figured this card was worth the price if it turned my 5+ year old HP IPAQ 1940 PDA into a free wireless device. The SDIO interface worked perfectly and the software installed on my Windows Mobile 2003 device without error. It found my WEP secured home wireless signal and quickly connected after I entered the security code. It has also functioned well around town at various coffee houses with unsecured wireless. The biggest challenge was that I had to do a bit of fiddling around to install a decent web browser (Opera 4.2) on it since the old IE was pretty outdated. Various web sites helped me in this regard. Overall, this card did exactly what I wanted it to do.

bad choice! – MEL –
This item does not come with any directions, and is not very user-friendly. I wiggled my way around to get this item installed on my handheld, only to have it not work. …proved to be worthless for me.
it dose not work with the – gocb –
they claim it would work with my pocect pc but it did not and i use a 2-3 shiping and it took all most a week to get it

I personally use this Item on my Palm Treo that runs Windows Mobile 5.0 and I think it gives me the internet access I need. Obviously, nothing’s perfect, but if (like me) you do not have 3G internet access, this will VERY well (that is, if you have a nearby internet access point). I’ve used it with many programs and get great signal strength with it. Like I said, nothing’s perfect, so don’t think it’s God’s gift to humanity. Besides, I use it with Windows, so of course I don’t have perfect internet, lol!
